YOUTH FOR LIFE CONGRESS 2009

Welcome to the official site of the "6th Youth for Life Congress" of PAREF Southridge School's "Student Organization Upholding Life" (S.O.U.L.) and ALAY KAMAY, ALAY PANAHON (AKAP).

The Students Organization Upholding Life (S.O.U.L.) of PAREF Southridge School is once more holding the “Youth for Life Congress”, a gathering of the top High School students of Metro Manila in support of pro-life principles. The Congress will be held on February 27, 2009 (Friday) at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) in Pasig City from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Speakers include Sen. Aquilino Pimentel, Mr. George Winternitz of “Families for Family” and renowned author and speaker Mrs. Lora Tan-Garcia, among others. Through this Congress, we hope to be able to enlighten the student leaders on various issues related to life (e.g., abortion, population control, euthanasia, etc.), specially in the face of the House Bill on Reproductive Health pending in Congress.

The Congress expects to gather top students from around 60 schools in Metro Manila. In this connection, we would like to invite 5 to 7 high school students from your school who will form part of this “6th Youth for Life Congress”. Students may be accompanied by their Adviser/Teacher. Conference fee is P300 per participant which covers seminar fee, lunch, snacks, materials and certificate of participation.
